paddling
Scotland can offer a wide variety of canoeing and kayaking opportunities.
There is fabulous scenery, lively rivers, inland waterways, canals and islands to explore.
Sea kayaking is also popular on the west coast with awesome sea caves and, many hidden spots to be explored.
Alternatively, why not pay a visit to Loch Tay where the outdoor centre is excellent and has a large variety of vessels for hire.
For quiet paddling the Crinan Canal is very picturesque while the Glasgow and Edinburgh canals are both open and good for paddlers.
A visit to the Falkirk Wheel is a must!
For family paddling, Loch Lomond and Loch Ness are ideal.
For a more furious pace the best rivers are in the North of Scotland.
On your way to running the Roy, Orchy or Etive, you could drop in to the Real Food Cafe for a spot of dutch courage and on your way home the fire will be roaring to warm you!
