Scotland is an ideal sailing venue so much so that Ellen MacArthur has made the Isle of Skye her home!
There are many charter and flotilla holiday companies.
Personally we would recommend sailing on the West Coast Western Isles, as these are the most beautiful.
The Port of Oban is well worth a stop, with its busy ferry services coming and going to Barra, South Uist, Kerrera, Lismore, Tiree, Coll and Collensay.
Alternatively, why not sail to Mull and view its colourful row of sea front houses now a famous attraction due to the children's TV programme, Ballamory.
