After twenty years experience in the catering industry I gave up my job as Managing Director of a London based chain of high profile, successful wine bars to follow the dream of owning and operating a unique eatery with a great concept.
After unsuccessfully pursuing several pub/restaurants in London the dream took off with an advert for the sale of 38 Little Chef's.
Fortunately one of them was based in Tyndrum - an area that my partner Steve and I know very well.
Not only did we think that Tyndrum would be a great location for roadside catering, but our roots are in Scotland.
Both of our families originate from there; add the ownership of a house in Killin and it seemed an ideal location to settle.
We put a bid forward for the site and once we knew it was successful we had to come up with a concept and a plan.
Through the help of our friends and previous contacts we developed an ethos that has since evolved into the Real Food Cafe.
